We are passionate about passionate people.
We won’t ask your age, where you come from, or which school you went to. We’ll ask what you have done, and how far you want to go.
Talent isn’t hired. It grows.
We don’t buy ready-made professionals. We look for people who are capable, curious and honest, then we build around them what they need to become better than us.
It isn’t generosity, it’s strategy. Someone we train works to our standards, understands the house better than any outside hire, and stays because we trusted them before anyone else did.
Many of our current leads joined us in junior roles. Our best hires, we made five years ago without knowing it.
We don’t ask your age. We watch how you play.
What we look at. And what we don’t.
What we never ask
- Your age.
- Your gender.
- Your origin, nationality or region.
- Which school you went to.
- Who you know here.
What we really look at
- What you have already done, and can show.
- How you talk about your failures.
- Your technical curiosity, because in our trades whoever stops learning becomes a passenger within eighteen months.
- How you treat people.
We can train someone on software. We can’t train them in respect. It’s the one thing we can’t teach you, and the one we watch most closely.
Our hiring decisions rest only on skills, achievements and motivation. Any form of discrimination goes against our internal rules and our commitments.
Here, you can move fast.
Skill has no age. You can be put forward very early if you are good — and in return, a place is never yours for good: you keep it by continuing to earn it.
Recruit
The first six months
We train you in how we work, our tools and our standards. We don’t ask you to be decisive yet: we ask you to learn fast and ask questions.
Regular
You hold your role without constant supervision. Your work is reliable, your deadlines met. You have real autonomy and files of your own.
Lead
You are decisive. Your ideas are taken up, you are called on hard files, you run projects and you represent the agency in front of clients.
Captain
You carry the spirit of the house as much as you produce. You train others, you protect them, and you embody the agency even when management isn’t in the room.
No level has a minimum duration. If you are ready after eighteen months, you move up after eighteen months.
Our open roles
Read them in full: we write what we really expect, including what is hard.
No role is open right now. That doesn’t stop us reading open applications — it’s often how our hiring starts.
Open applicationApply
Three ways to join us. All of them are open.
Where would you like to start?
How it works
We hate hiring processes that leave people without news. Here is exactly what happens after you send.
- 01
You apply
Opening, open application or project: it all lands in the same place, with the Employee Experience team.
- 02
We read
Every application is read by a person. None is filtered out by a machine on keywords.
- 03
A first conversation
A conversation, not an interrogation. We explain the whole role, including what is hard. Ask all your questions, pay included.
- 04
You show us
Either you present what you have already done, or we suggest a short exercise.
- 05
You meet the team
You meet the people you would work with, in our offices. They answer everything, and you see the house as it is.
- 06
The decision
We answer in every case, and we explain why. A reasoned no is more useful to you than silence.
What the agency owes you
A company project that only asks for effort isn’t a project, it’s a demand. Here are our commitments, and you have the right to remind us of them.
Clarity
You will always know what is expected of you and what you are assessed on. No one here is judged on an expectation never stated to them.
Tools
We invest so you work with the best means available, including the latest technologies. You should never fail for lack of a tool.
Fairness
The same rules for everyone. Assessment, recognition and progression criteria are written down and known to all.
Your rights
We respect labour law and our contractual commitments. Your rights are not a favour the agency grants.
Progression
Regular feedback on your work, a development plan, and access to responsibility as soon as you are ready, not when your turn comes.
Safety to speak
You can raise a problem, disagree or admit a mistake without fear of humiliation. That doesn’t guarantee you’ll be proven right; it guarantees you’ll get an answer.
An earth-coloured office is waiting for you.
Our walls are the colour of ochre, the pigment with which human beings left, on this continent, the first deliberate mark of our species. MATANGA means imprint. The people who work here are called the Ochres.
